Fr. David J. Randolph

    Fr. David J. Randolph is the Pastor of Christ the Saviour Antiochian Orthodox Church in Anderson, South Carolina.  He has been pastor here since 1998. 

    Fr. David was ordained to the Holy Diaconate on march 8, 1988 by the Right Reverend, Bishop Antoun Khoury.  He was ordained to the Holy Priesthood on July5th, 1992, by His Grace, the Right Reverend Bishop Basil Essey.  Fr. David served previously as pastor of St. Andrews Antiochian Orthodox Church in Eustis, Florida, before taking over the responsibility of Christ the Saviour. 

    Fr. David oversaw the transition from Western Rite Orthodoxy to the more common Eastern, or Byzantine Rite.

    Fr. David was elevated to the dignity of Archpriest on February 27, 2005, by His Grace, the Right Reverend Bishop Antoun Khoury, Bishop of the Southeast.

    Fr. David is the founder and President of Teleios; an offender outreach in Florida and South Carolina.  He also serves as a direct care counselor for children and their families referred by the department of social services.

    Fr. David serves on several boards of directors and committees related to may social concerns of the Anderson community.  As a priest, Fr. David co-hosts a campus ministry at Clemson University, serves as an on-call chaplain at the Anderson Area Medical Center and is a member of the Electric City Rotary Club.

    He has received several awards including:

5. Community Service Commendation form the office of President George Bush

    He has completed training in:

1. Moral Recognition Therapy... A systematic therapeutic approach dealing with substance abuse and other destructive behavior.

2. Domestic Violence... The Duluth Model

3. Parent to Parent Safe Passages... Facilitator

    He has served as an advisor to the secretary of the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice.
